Water Knowledge Project Team: Forum Lenteng
Forum Lenteng is a non-profit arts and education organisation dedicated to fostering creativity and knowledge through its initiatives. Over the past 20 years, it has established media centres across 13 locations in cities spanning multiple islands in Indonesia. Through its community mentoring programs, the organisation has empowered local groups to become active leaders in driving social change within their regions. Leveraging their deep expertise in artistic and community-based research, the Forum Lenteng team engages in educational activities that utilise participatory artistic media such as sound, film, and performance.

Hafiz Rancajale
Project Director
Hafiz Rancajale (1971 in Pekanbaru) graduated Fine Arts at Jakarta Institute of Arts (IKJ) in 1994. He is an artist, curator, founder of Forum Lenteng. Editor in Chief at www.jurnalfootage.net. He is also the Artistic Director of OK. Video – Jakarta International Video Festival (2003-2011). Since 2013, Hafiz is the Artistic Director of ARKIPEL

Van Luber Parensen (Luber)

Born in West Sumatra (1987), Luber is an artist filmmaker who living in Jakarta. In 2023 he participated in Milisifilem Collective initiated by Forum Lenteng. As a sound artist and composer, he was a speaker at the Time to Listen symposium in Berlin in 2024, presenting research and artistic work from Futures of Listening . His works; Sound Journal in Kalibata Pulo and Listening to Kalibata Pulo were presented to the public in Jakarta on April, at Academie der Kunst, Berlin on October 2024, and SIMPUL SUAKA Festival, in Central Sulawesi. Also together with Sigisora, invited as an artist in residence at the Bangsal Menggawe 2024 Festival, Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. His work with Sigisora was also exhibited in Jakarta at ARKIPEL- Exhibition Garden of Earthly Delights, in 2024.

Tuba Fallopi

Tuba Fallopi (Limo Puluah Koto, West Sumatra) has once studied in ISI Padangpanjang and finished her study in Theater at ISBI Aceh. She was a participant in Bakureh Project that was initiated by Gubuak Kopi (2018). In 2019 she published her first poetry book titled “Aku Malu Jadi Manusia di Rua Aksara”. In 2022, Tuba and her friends founded a study group called Sekolah Gender (School of Gender) in Padang.

Dahlan Khatami
Participating Artist
Dahlan Khatami (Jakarta, 1999) writes poetry and articles which he distributed in his personal blog. He is one of the founders of Forum Peduli Literasi Masyarakat.

Rahmania Nerva
Participating Artist
Rahmania Nerva (Born in Kebumen, 2001) lives in Depok, West Java. She finished her bachelor’s degree in Russian Studies at Universitas Indonesia.

Dyah Nindyasari
Co-Researcher
Dyah Nindyasari (2002) has studied in Leiden University for International Studies specialising in South and Southeast Asia. Under SIITAA, she has organised various academic events within the university. Dyah also has managed correspondence and supported curatorial projects for CultureLab Consultancy.

Helmi Yusron
Co-Researcher
Helmi Yusron (born 2001) is a graduated student of Islamic History and Civilization at Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta. In 2023 he studied at Milisifilem Collective, one of the programs run by Forum Lenteng, and is currently focusing on the Sigisora platform, a platform about artwork through sound medium initiated by Forum Lenteng.

Adi Osman
Co-Researcher
Adi Osman (b.1994, Padang). He is a writer on literature, film, media, and culture. His writings have received awards, such as in the 2018 Film Article and Criticism Competition organized by the Center for Film Development, Ministry of Education and Culture, and the Wisran Hadi Play Essay Competition 2021 organized by Lembaga Bumi Kebudayaan. He is also involved in various film productions, film criticism, and film festivals. He was involved as artistic director in Andalas Film Festival 2017-2018, as a curator in Sumbar Film Festival 2018, curator for regional program of Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival 2020, curator for Jakarta Content Week 2022-2023, and ARKIPEL-Jakarta International Documentary & Experimental Film Festival. He is currently active in Milisifilem Collective and Garak.id.

Wahyu Budiman Dasta (Walay)

Wahyu Budiman Dasta (Jakarta, 1991) is a filmmaker. In 2017 he attended the “Doc-Clinic” workshop in Wisma Jerman, Surabaya. Become a volunteer for ARKIPEL 2017 and since then he has been active in Forum Lenteng. He is active as a participant in Milisifilem Collective program.

Ananta Wijavarana

Ananta Wijayarana (1997) is a freelance writer. Finished his study in Universitas Brawijaya for Communication, he was active in the film community and student press in his university. He is now active as one of the participants of MILISIFILEM.

Ilham Natsir
Participating Artist
Ilham Natsir (Born in Barru, South Sulawesi 1996) is an artist and journalist. He is one of the founders of PituSinema (Mamuju) and a member of Performance.RAR (Bandung). He finished his study in Sculpture at Universitas Telkom Bandung (2019).
