The everyday sounds of my home: The roar of an electronic sewing machine from a home-based garment business plus their song playlists, the squeaking sound when the bedroom door is opened, and the lizards.
What was a bit different that night was the sound of the neighbours using my front yard to wash dishes from our neighbour’s wedding party. And strangely, the crickets were so loud inside the house, I thought they were on my ceiling.
