A tree will affect the soundscape. A small wild bird is constantly chirping in a tabebuya tree behind my house. in the distance goats bleat.
The sound of traffic is not very audible from here, firstly because the microphone was pointed in the opposite direction and secondly, there is a building that is twice the height of my house, which is become a soundwall in the context of the position between my house and the road.
When this small bird stops chirping, the sound of vehicles there becomes more clearly audible.
